New Pencil helped to define the finicky business of art outsourcing for the video game industry. In its eight years of business, New Pencil became a premier art creation studio for some of the best selling games of all time. In 2002, San Francisco Magazine voted New Pencil "One of the top 100 places to work in the Bay Area" (see article below). The company has contributed to a variety of published works including "Keeping Up with the Sims", an article covering large-scale content creation for Game Developer Magazine.
